History of the "Pleasant Valley Get-Together Club"

The “Pleasant Valley Get-Together Club” was started in 1928. The purpose was to stimulate the feeling of good will and friendship among our neighbors and friends.

Over three-quarters of a century later--- we still strive to unify the community by service projects and by supporting the community in times of need.

Help may come in a time of need or just by a a smile and a kind word given to a fellow member at meetings. We donate money to soften the burden of losing everything in a disaster or serve an appreciative dinner to a family in time of sorrow due to the loss of a loved one. Annually, we award at least one scholarship to a graduating student of Cotopaxi High School. We have several “Community Night” events that we sponsor, such as an Ice Cream Social in August, a Halloween Party for ALL ages in October, and a Christmas Bazaar & Bake Sale.

"The Club also brings in six speakers every year who give presentations after the luncheons. (These talks are open to the public.) Speakers range from politicians and national celebrities to "locals" with fascinating information. On other days, members may play bingo - and every summer,
a wonderful outdoor picnic takes place for members and their guests. "

Our Club Goal is "Do A Good Deed For Someone"

Our Club Motto is "Unity In Purpose"

As members--- we can be proud of what the Club stands for and for what it has accomplished.
